Biography
Hannah Allen is a Senior Associate Health Scientist ll with Cardno ChemRisk in the Pittsburgh, PA office. Her primary areas of training and expertise include epidemiology and biostatistics. Ms. Allen earned her MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health in 2019, and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Biological Science from Clemson University in 2018. During her master’s program, Ms. Allen’s studies focused on the social, behavioral, and psychological determinates of health, and her thesis work examined the relationship between personality and perceived mental fatigability. Ms. Allen also worked for the Department of Infectious Disease at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center performing human subject’s research involving the nosocomial spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and the effectiveness of the influenza vaccine. Since joining Cardno ChemRisk, Ms. Allen has used epidemiological principles and techniques to evaluate and summarize the health effects from occupational, environmental, and consumer product exposures, including exposure to man-made vitreous fibers (MMVFs), lead, talc, asbestos, ethylene oxide, and nicotine and tobacco.
