Biography

Mr. Aaron Blakney is an Associate Health Scientist with Cardno ChemRisk. His primary areas of training an expertise include environmental epidemiology, heavy metal toxicology, risk assessment, and biostatistics. He received his undergraduate training in Environmental Resource Management from The Pennsylvania State University and completed his Master of Public Health degree in Environmental Health with dual focuses in environmental epidemiology and biostatistics from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. He also has ample experience developing injury prevention plans for both public and private clients and has been involved in the drafting of emergency preparedness plans for multiple organizations. Aaron conducted his culminating project on the association between cadmium blood and urine concentrations and hypertension risks. In his current position, Mr. Blakney has been involved in evaluating the health risks posed by a variety of consumer products and chemicals including asbestos and talc and has also had substantial experience in assisting clients with Pre-Market Tobacco Application materials for submission to the Federal Drug Administration.
