Melanie Nembhard Accepted to the 2022 AIHA Future Leaders Institute Program

Cardno ChemRisk Supervising Health Scientist, Melanie Nembhard, was recently accepted to the 2022 American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Future Leaders Institute (FLI) program.  The FLI program is designed to strengthen the leadership skills of Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) professionals with 3-15 years of applied work experience. With four main focus areas: interpersonal perspectives, organizational perspectives, collaborative/teamwork efforts, and managing the future, the program is intended to support and advance the individuals in their organization and the IH/OEHS profession.

Melanie is a board certified industrial hygienist (CIH) and has worked for Cardno ChemRisk for over seven years.  She earned her Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Occupational and Environmental Hygiene, as well as two certificates – the Risk Sciences and Public Policy Certificate and the Population and Health Certificate, from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her experience has involved researching and evaluating exposures, as well as assessing risk to workers, consumers, and communities exposed to a variety of chemical hazards, physical hazards, and biological hazards.
