COVID-19 workplace risk management and response plans

The new white paper offers recommendations to business leaders on how to best protect employee health and reduce business disruption during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As new information and data continue to shape the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this white paper assists organizations with understanding the pandemic and developing flexible and thorough Workplace Response Plans.

All recommendations within the white paper are supported by and adapted from Cardno ChemRisk’s experience as public health professionals as well as information provided by the United States (U.S.) Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The white paper examines the background of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and offers answers to common questions, including “Why is there a concern?”, “How does COVID-19 spread?”, and “Are workers at risk of exposure?”.

Additional insight includes a review of workers most at risk for exposure, control and prevention measures, recommended communication frameworks, and recovery planning.

The paper’s authors include: Corey Boles, PhD, Justine Parker, CIH, CSP, CHMM, CPH, Natalie Egnot, DrPH, and Alexander Sundermann, MPH, CIC.
