Toxicology and Ecotoxicology

The fields of toxicology and ecotoxicology together study the adverse effects of chemicals on individual living organisms and also on the larger community or ecosystem.

Cardno ChemRisk® has an exceptional team of experts in both fields, many of whom are board-certified in toxicology.  Together, they have published and presented hundreds of papers and are often invited to participate on government panels to assess the health hazards posed by various chemicals, and to identify and resolve gaps in science.

Many Cardno ChemRisk scientists are nationally recognized experts on chemicals ranging from asbestos and dioxins to silica and beryllium.  They conduct both large- and small-scale projects and have developed specific areas of expertise related to impacts on, and the consumption of, aquatic species.

Our extensive experience augments gaps in client knowledge, enabling them to make sound decisions about mitigating and reducing risk.  For details, below is a sampling of case studies.  You will also find links on this page to our Toxicology and Ecotoxicology team and literature.
